The Pleiades Points

The Mystery of the
Golden Trees of Venezuela

There is an area approximately 150 miles from the equator in the deep jungles of Venezuela. Hundreds of miles from any city, this 30 square miles spot is home to a cluster of only 21 points, shiny gold in color and easily found on any computer with Google Earth.   Zoomed out to cover the whole cluster they are barely noticeable.  Zoomed in they are surrounded by so much vegetation and so far apart that there would be little to no chance of a clear line of sight between them.  These points are so small and spread apart that you can fit over 38 million points of the same size in this cluster area.

What makes these points unique is their bright gold color as they stand out from the mostly dark green of the vegetation around them.  At first glance, they seem to be the size and shape of trees, which they may well be.  Until we know for sure whether they are trees or structures, we'll call them points.

The relationship to one another is what makes each of these 21 points interesting.  This includes an equilateral triangle, a perfect circle including a center point where the circle is divided in half, quarter and eighths, and five lines that cross precisely through four points including one line with hidden measurements. Finally, this cluster has a curious relation to the Pleiades Constellation.

Two more clusters can be found a few miles north and south of this one with more secrets to unfold!  Help us piece together the clues and track down the mystery of these Venezuelan golden trees.
